Today we will be explaining what a sparring team is and why you should be in one. Prepare for battle!

So, what is the point of all this?

The point is to get FC members working together, having fun together and training together. We know that finding people to play with and trying to organise runs with people from all different time zones can be challenging, so we are encouraging you to form your teams and do your planning here rather than in-game.

How does it work?

Simple! Just reply to this thread with the name of your team along with a short description of what your team is all about and a sub-forum will be created for you. You can then do as you please - recruit members, plan runs, discuss your tactics, give one another constructive feedback to improve your game - whatever helps.

Is this for serious endgame play only?

Nope! We want to create an environment for people of all skill levels. If you want to create an endgame team that's fine - likewise it's fine if you want to focus on dungeons of any level, primals, trials, etc. Or if you want to make a team with mixed skill levels then go for it. It's your team - focus on what you like doing!

Does this mean that I don't have to work with people who aren't in my team?

No. You're still a member of Terra Flare, and you are expected to continue helping your fellow company mates with duties and join in as you would before. Trying to create splinter groups is exactly the opposite of what we're doing. Use your sparring team as a way of getting to grips with mechanics and having fun at the same time - just don't forget that you're party of a larger company that still needs you!

Then why not just use the duty finder?

As the FC grows and more teams are formed, we plan to hold competitions. We are still in the planning stages so cannot go into further details at this time, however we are looking to create a system where people of all skill levels can engage in fair, friendly competition with the incentive of some nice rewards for the winning team.

I'm sold! What will be expected of me if I form/join a team?

Team captains are expected to take a leading role in organising runs for their teams. You will need to be committed to training your team while keeping it fun for those involved. Likewise, for people looking to join a team you need to be committed to taking part, have a positive attitude and be willing to learn. Your team needs you!
